My System: DM 600-S, AB IPBox 9000HD, Moteck SG2100, Fracarro Penta 85 dish, + some puters | If you can get the dreambox to recognize the hard drive there should be no problem doing what you suggest. The only thing is that the harddrive will always be spinning while you are running an image off of it. The nice thing about a flash drive is that its solid state (no moving parts).

My System: Dreambox 7020Si receiver, PLi image loaded and Irdeto and Viaccess cards installed. Dishes for Nilesat + Hotbird with lnb's for BADR and Eurobird 9 | You can install the disk inside the 7020. The procedure is simple and covered in the manual. That is a better way, then the box will control the time before the disk gets powered on and off, so it does not spin all the time.
