7020s Amber, blue, green display

Hi

Does anyone know which is the latest version of the 7020s dreambox.
I've also seen 7020s advertised with displays in blue, amber, or green. As this would not be programmable by software, and the prices are different for each one, they must be different models.
Am I missing something obvious ?

I cant really say as dont have one, havent heard anything about different upgraded ones yet as the 7020s are fairly new. Maybe you can change the display settings somewhere. Maybe with different HD installed.

Thanks John

I've just ordered one with an amber display but then I saw on a US site that they offer different colour displays I wondered if I'd ordered the latest version.

I expect to fill the forum 10 seconds after pluggin' it in !

As far as I am aware the Blue LCD display is available only on the 7000 model and the Amber only on the 7020 model.
I have never seen a green one yet.
Welcome to the board.

If you can speak German, check out the German suppliers - I seem to remember different colour LCD screen were available for the 7000 series.

Worth checking Ebay.

I think you're right m8. The blue 7000's are the older ones. I saw a modded 7000 with a green display once, but it was a DIY effort.

Maybe someone has geared up an after-market pre-sales mod for the 7020.

The early 7000 models had Blue displays and then they changed to Orange (Amber) for the later models.

Your right John i think this thread has gone on long enough, and I'm sure "blue is the colour" is the only one you like.

These threads do tend to get complicated when DM7000 and DM500 owners mix in there variants. I asked the question originally because I wanted to buy a 7020 and saw an American web site advertising 3 different display colors (colours) available for the 7020.

and I must say that I'm seeing a lot of blue with my amber display model.
