My System: DM7020 Screambox MAC OSX & windowzz 98SE Gemini 1664 on tap |
Hi Has anyone managed to use any of the OSX software with the DM7020. Here's what I've tried idreamx 0.8f Dreamstreamx 0.77b Dreamxman 0.6 MPEG_Streamclip_1.3.1 MovieGate1.1.7 TelnetLauncer_v2.8.8 I can backup in idreamx but not restore. dreamstreamx streams ok but remote doesn't work. I can't FTP images, cams, keys with any of them. I think they are only for the DM7000 and we shall have to wait for the 7020 versions. Am I correct or does anyone out there know better ? Cyberduck FTP works great ! Thanks

My System: DreamBox 7000s - Nokia Freeview - Several GameBoys - DS Lite - ZX81 - SNES - N64 - Sega Saturn Dreamcast - PlayStation - Gamecube - PSP - iPod - iPhone - XBox - PS3 - Wii - No Life! | As one of the few OS X users I gave up on most of the Mac software for the 7000. Still use Captain FTP, MPEG Streamclip, VLC and control the box remotely using Camino. Most of the time I use virtual PC to Backup/Multiboot. Bearing in mine I don't have a 7020...

My System: Dreambox 7000 1mtr Dish | Hi whatsthis I am using my iMac (running OSX Tiger) but with a 7000S with no problem. However, to get 'MPEG Streamclip' to work properly I had to follow this procedure. Not sure if this will help on a 7020 but thought I would let you know anyway. My set-up is: 7000S running official 1.09 in flash USB stick running Hydra Phoenix Set-up procedure that worked for me: 1) Load official 1.09 in flash (had to use 'DreamUp' and PC for this. Boooo!!!) 2) Using 'MPEG Streamclip' load 'DreamFlash' file/folder onto flash 3) Using 'MPEG Streamclip' format USB stick 4) Using 'MPEG Streamclip' load new image onto USB stick Reboot and 'multiboot' works on your USB stick. Like I say probably no good for 7020 but maybe worth a pop. Let me know how you go as it's always nice to hear from other fellow mac users with dreams. Slayter PS - Use iDreamX for streaming to my mac and controlling remotely and 'Transmit' for FTP.

The DB (7000s 160gig) is connected to the internet through the Ethernet hub with another G3 Mac. The DB also has multi boot 256MB USB stick. Look forward to any contributions you can add to Mac/Dreambox threads and any other you may wish to contribute to.
