there are sevrl open linux projects, where you can buy every part on the reveiver separtly, like a little pc,for aproximently the have of the price, then the dreambox hd costs, now all new reveiver that comes out costs to much dreambox 8000 after ifa will costs 800€
the vantage hd 549€, most expesive of all realbox avantgarde 1300€

so best thing, you make your own reveiver now, thats much cheaper

the HD tuner will physically fit into the 7025, maybe some one will come up with the extra mods to allow HD reception

My System: Fibo's 60, SF75, 90, 120 (motorized), Triax Unique MF, DVB-S2 cards

The 7025 is just not "fast" enough and also lacks software support for such a card/Tuner.

DMM are releasing a 702x which will have DVB-S2 tuners.

Lets just hope it will be out before the 8000

yup hope the temerature will be a little bit cooler then on the dm 800,when i look the difrent models, selling sepratly in auction house,it looks like, that, the complete series, has exactly the same tuner, that means,a dm 70** tuner would be also comptible with dm 800,maybe its a 3.party product i dont know, but if this so,i wondering why only the dm 800 tuner gets so hot

never put dm 800 on top of other reveiver thats heats, this is the most reason why the reveiver crashed then, and reached the highst temperatur earlier!
the vertical stand,i think is the best way to keep this little black baby cool, puting a little mini cooler,in the direction of the tuner!

i hope dream 8000 is a better hardware master peace!

but how will spend 800€ for, this price,is to high for the mass market

Guys, excuse my ignorance, but whats the point of a 720p reception when you can't output it to the telly ?

OK you could stream it, but come on , dreamboxes are for TV's !
