Disec motor!

Being a 36v motor fan, what is the best way to set up a disec motor on a 7025?

I have tried using usals, and assigning satellites with numbered positions, but having trouble storing the sats.

There`s plenty of signal when I measure using my meter, but when scanning the satellites using the dreambox tuner, the signal is very low and hence making it difficult to find sats The signal bars are jumping around all over the place!

Im using a Technomate disec motor.

If I use usals how do I store the sat positions?

Like I said i much prefer 36v and vbox set ups

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Moved this to the Dreambox section, as it is really specific to the Dreambox.

I found that the only image to work with USALS on my DM7000 was the new Gemini, but even that worked better with DiSEqC 1.2, like you I found it quite difficult to locate some of the sites and resorted to having my meter in line from the loopthrough.

If using Usals you don't store sats, the direction and position is calculated each time using your latitude, longitude and the orbital location of the satellite you have selected.

My System: DM 600-S, AB IPBox 9000HD, Moteck SG2100, Fracarro Penta 85 dish, + some puters

Im not sure about Enigma2 images, On my DM600 I can use a combination of USALS + stored positions. I used this for a week or two after a storm moved my kit out of alignment.

To do this, I sent the motor to the desired bird using USALS, then go to the motor setup page, use the menu to move the dish east or west till you get a the best signal you can. Then hit the button to store the position. (Green I think).

When you come back out of that menu, you may need to re-enable USALS. When you now select that sat, the motor will move to the stored position rather than the calculated one. (It does on the DM600 at least)

Hope this helps

PS: I've found USALS to be bang on outside of when my kit has been blown about. I would prefer not to have to store positions if I can avoid it,

Thats the problem, when I set the settings to use usals, the dish wont move.

When I assign sat positions, only some times the motor moves
