My System: DM 7025+ 500GB, 85cm transparent dish on motor, 20Mbit line, UPC "family" sub
Dish stuck at 28.2

I have just reflashed my DM7025 with the latest Gemini 4.1 image and I didn’t back up my old one. Now since I haven’t played really with the image for about 6 months I can’t remember exactly how to set it up properly. My dish is “parked” at 28.2 and doesn’t want to move anywhere.

I have Gemini 4.1 image
I have created satellite.xml for 0.8, 13, 16, 19.2, 23.5 & 28.2
I have these settings

Configuration Mode > advanced
Satellite > Eurobird1/Astra2A/2B/2C/2D (28.2E)
LNB > LNB 1
Priority > Auto
LOF > Universal LNB
Voltage mode > Polarization
Tone mode > Band
DiSEqC mode > 1.2
Toneburst > None
Commited DiSEqC command > None
Fast DiSEqC > no
Sequence repeat > no
Command order > committed, toneburst
Uncommitted DiSEqC command > None
DiSEqC repeats > None
Longitude > 00X.XXX East
Latitude > 0XX.XXX North
Use Power Measurement > yes
Power treshold in mA > 050
Rotor turning speed > Fast
Use usals for this sat > yes

What am I doing wrong, any idea please?

Many thanks for any help student

Did you tell the Dreambox that you have a motor:

Menu > satellite configuration > many satellites via DISEqC Rotor

I strongly recommend you change Config. Mode to simple. And enter lat and long values.

And as mentioned make sure you've selected Diseqc Rotor.

I have no such an option.

I have; Main menu > setup > service searching > tuner configuration > tuner A

And them I have options either “simple, usals” or “advance” with the above settings.

When I do use the simple setting and do multisat scan I only get channels from 28.2 and the dish doesn’t move at all

I have tried to select the simple set up, and I did input my latitude and longitude.

I am not sure where in the menu I can change it t diseqc motor?

Many thanks student

EDIT:- For some strange reason I thought we were talking DM500 here. Anyway, let me check.

Wink

Ok mate , go to :-

Setup, Service Searching, Tuner Configuration, Press OK Again when it shows Tuner A. You should then see this screen.

This is my DM800 running BH0.9 but it should be identical to your 7025 on Gemini.

Yes I have similar screen. It says;

Configuration mode > simple
Longitude >
Latitude >
Use power Measurement > yes
Power threshold in mA > 050
Rotor turning speed > fast

But that still doesn’t work, as it is? Is there anything wrong?

By the way how do I upload pictures? Do they have to be hosted somewhere?

Hmm, not sure whats going on here mate. You upload pictures as attachments when using the Advanced option when posting.

Seeing as you're at the early stages of settings up a new image I'd recommend you try another one. Nabilosat Blackhole 0.9 is about the best image around at the moment. I was long a Gemini fan but moved to blackhole at v0.6 , it is better. I'd reflash to this and try again.
