If he were not a wizard, from head down to the root, you would have got to worry-your DB only boots

Newcamd works, is there newcamd for 7025?

I too think CCcam is the one to use, I'm pretty certain there is a 7025 version for it, and it will read and update SKY cards, without the ney of a boxid. Don't forget to put the card in with the chip facing down.

yep, for FTV cards there is no need for boxid - this is only needed for premium channels to decrapt properly

sky sorted but shame about epg

*0hi,

ok guys, got this one working....using as stated above cccam 1.3.1/newcs-1.18..
edit the config file with your box number and away you go!!

works pretty much like sky plus, even when using pic in pic....have my motorised dish in input 1, and fixed sky dish in input 2. Seems like i am using my box now to its full capacity....

only snag is.....E.P.G.

using my sky gives me epg and seires link which this wont, have seem programs to install that gets a weekly update from the net but not sure about one for the 7025.

can anyone point me in a right direction for a suitable option for sorting this out.

cheers

I know of 2 plugins, none which will work on a 7025. So I'm afraid you're stuck with www.radiotimes.com for your epg view.

Well, I don´t use it I rather have the hit and try system

But I know , for sure, that I´ve seen lots of plugins so my advice is Find a decent Dreamsite (U good in German ? Then go to i-have-a-dreambox) and serach for the plug-ins

They are there. Dreambox and cleaver people are the same.

Dreambox 7025 and skycard

Hello

I am trying to use my skycard with the dreambox 7025 and i am using cccam 1.7.1 and newcs 1.20 as I have read I need to write some lines to some config file but I don't know which file and what should I write ?

Thanks

My System: Dreambox 7025-S Gemini 2.3 CCcam 1.7.0

Cccam 1.7.1 does not work with Sky, download Cccam version 1.7.0 instead. No config file is required if you are using your own Sky card. If you want to "card share" you'll need a config file.

My System: Famaval 3,1, IP9000HD plus other FTA and Linux boxes - Astra 1&2, Hotbird, Hispasat

I can confirm what newty has said. I have a 7025 - bought it mainly for use with my UK Sky card. I had the devil's own job to start with because I was using CCam 1.71.

As soon as I changed it to 1.62 (which at that point was the latest version I knew worked), everything was just fine - no need for a config file.

Good luck

Dream box and Sky

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have one more question if its not to much trouble.
I have my own card (not sharing) and I was told that sometimes you need to put the card in the skybox for some updates. Is this the case for you also or does it play in the dream box all the time. Also because I am completly new to dreambox do I use CCcam 1.7.0 or CCcam 1.7.0 and Newcs . I will of course try both ways to see If it works but since you seem to have done this your expierience will only Help a Newbe like me to Dreambox.

Thanks

The FTV $ky cards don't need to go back into a $ky box- they update fine in the DReambox. Can't confirm for a sub card as a I don't have one.

My System: None as yet - Looking into a Dreambox 7025, 1 dish on Astra 2D with full UK channels and one dish on Atlantic Bird 3 for French channels
Dreambox 7025, full free Sky and French channels

Hello All,

I am very very new to Dreambox. Before investing, I want to make sure that I could do all of the above, ie. get all the free Sky channels providing I have the sky free card PLUS, I would like to see all the french free channels available on Atlantic Bird 3 (with the appropriate two-dish configuration, obviously.

Just to confirm, can the Dreambox 7025:

- Decode the coded fvree channels on Sky (channel 4, 5, etc..) by using the FreeSat card from Sky and
- Read all the non crypted free channels on Atlantic Bird 3.

Also, if you have heard of previous experience, how-to's or anything else related to this, it would be very helpful.

Thank you all!

All Dreamboxes can do this.

Please look at The Guide for more info and have a good read of the forum.

You don't need two dishes- you can motorise.

And welcome to the forum

My System: Dreambox 7025-S Gemini 2.3 CCcam 1.7.0

It doesn't matter if you select CCcam 1.7.0, or CCcam 1.7.0/Newcs, both will decode Sky, however CCcam 1.7.0 itself is 15 seconds faster to initially get a picture.

I've got a Sky subscription, but I can't test whether or not the card needs to go back into the sky box for updates, however, I do check the following regularly :

http://192.168.0.3:16001/entitlements replace 192.168.0.3 with your Dreambox IP address.

card reader /dev/sci0
no or unknown card inserted

card reader /dev/sci1
handled 391(390) ecms and 12(12) emms
Nds card 1*****9

This details the expiry date of the channels, so I guess Cccam is passing on the key changes/updates?
