So is it possible to get work with dm800, i have heard that sd channels are working, but hd channels are more challenging, any info

hello to everyone ive been reading this post as i carnt get my s** card to clear i have newcs 165/cccams2.0.11 installed if i down grade to the version that is i this post and use the cccams config will this be the fix many thanks

Which Image are you using? CCAM 2.05 and NewCs 1.62 seems to be the most favourable combination. I have the Zip file here, all you do is extract them and ftp them over to your 800. Replace the ip address in the NewCsxml with your DM800 ip

Guys (or girls).. I am currently using Nabilo 0.6 with my DM800 with the NewCS1.65/CCam2.0.11 package obtained from the addons feature. I updated my Config.cfg (n-line) and newCS.xml with the one given earlier on in this thread.

I am currently trying to get my Dbox to work with my UK sky card.

Out of pure luck after restarting my Dbox serveral times and waiting for 10 mins on a encrypted channel it WORKED!
(please look at CCam_Working/2/3.jpg)

But after watching sky encrypted channels for 3 mins the screen freezes and I can't decode any channels anymore. I have to restart the dbox to get another 3 mins of airtime again.

Everytime I restart it takes AGES for the decoding to kick in. It always shows "network" (Please look at CCam_error/2/3.jpg) before switching to "Card"(CCam_Working.jpg).

I have only manage to decode my channels 3 times so far.. Now all that happens is that its stuck in "network" mode or ccam/newcs crashes out. (CCam_crash.jpg)

Can anyone please help me?

-How do I get CCam to default to "Card" mode and not "Network" mode? (Or is this a problem with NewCS?)

-Is 450Mhz the correct frequency for reading UK Sky cards? (I tried 357 at no luck there either)

-Are there any specific NewCs config's for UK Sky cards?
(i can't seem to find any FULL tutorial on setting up newcs.xml - i am probably just crap at searching..)

-Why does CCam or NewCS crash out?

You have to use cccam 2.05 and newcs with blackhole 06 and 07. There is an auto install package by DeepDiver on the image web site. You just edit the cccam.cfg with your own c and f lines and put your 800s ip address in the newscs xml file, reboot and that should be it. (Should) lol

Yah! I got it working now. It was my file attributes for the new NewCs and CCam 2.05 that was incorrect. Thanks so much again guys. much much appreciated.

I also got it working on my Dm800 sky uk HD card using newcs 1.65 and cccam 2.0.5.

But if you really want to be stable and show as local card then use cccam 2.0.4 + MPCS + newcs 1.65.

Works the same way as a nagra3 card ans shows as local and rock solid no freezes.

I Have tested in two separate dm800 one with sky uk and the other with sky italia card.

CCcam 2.0.4 + MPCS + Newcs is the real solution if you plan to share these cards.

The other note is that sharing this type of card iwith C lines is not very stable and the only 99% stable way is to use L lines linked to the MPCS server that is reading the card form newcs.
You also need to filter out all other nds cards at same hop level otherwise cccam will still prefer C lines and freezes will happen as it jumps form one to another.

Tested 8 hours with L line (camd3 protocol) in cccam without a single freeze.

Problem is if you want to do this sort of sharing you need to set re-share limits in MPCS server.

Guys, without doubt, regardless of image, the best way to use an NDS card with a DM800 is in a Smargo smartreader+. Run it directly in CCcam (whatever version you like). No need for NewCS , shows as local, keeps card alive, no freezing, no ****in about , it just works !

Hi, I have followed this thread and managed to get a newcs server working showing my nds card, but as soon as I select a channel to use the card it crashes

. I think I will go down the route of the smartcard reader. Can anyone recommend where to purchase in the UK??

Think Im gonna get a smargo, did you get yours in the Uk or from EU. Cant find too many stockists here and the ones that do are looking funny money.Thanks

I recently bought DM800HD and have put activated Sky card ,everything works fine in Newcs now I wanted upgrade to HD channels, it doesnt come activated. Do I need it activated in original
skyHD box or does some other version of ccam for communication with
HD sky in DM800HD?Please help.

slobex3223, if you're making changes to your subscription you need to put the card in your Sly box. Once the channels are added, just put it back in your DM.

Update your drivers in your DM800 with drivers from 10/03/2009 reboot box and enjoy your card now working in the internal card reader using CCcam 2.0.11
