Wifi install on DM800

Hello all,

I have received my 800 and I would like to install a wifi stick on it.

I have downloaded some WLAN drivers from DCC and i can find them in the kernel menu but the stick is not recognized.

how can I install this stick since I cannot put some RJ cables to this location ?

Thanks a lot for the help

Stick does not work.
you have to acquire a network bridge.
This allows you to adapt the RJ45 input of the dreambox to the wifi network. Almost all network manufacturers have at least one.
Make sure your dreambox is within the reach of the wifi of the router.
Installing this could be straightforward if you know networks.
1- The most important is to set the ip of the bridge within the ip range of the router, as they may not, initially, be in the same range.
2- the second is to allow it the ssid of the router if it has one.
3- third is, initially, to give a fixed ip address to the dreambox within the range of the router; this is allowed when you disactivate dhcp.
These three steps will permit the dreambox/bridge combination to be recognised by the router.

Stick does work with Dreambox 800. Install kernel modules RT73 or ZD1211B in Gemini via blue box "Extras - Kernel modules.

Hello all,

I managed to get it working with a DLINK 111 stick (has a RT73 chipset) and a nabilo image, it also works with the DF-II image but I could never make it run with the gemini, perhaps the latest gemini will be better for this...

Anyway it runs with a wifi stick and a nabilo image

Thanks for the help

I installed a D-Link DWL-G122 on my Dreambox 800 with Gemini 3.90 and it works, Kernel module RT73.
