Mpeg 2 4:2:0 &low symbolrates on dm 800,any special settings needed?

i have ,a special quesiton,about the posibility to receive mpeg 4:2:0 Transmision Feeds with dm 800
is in posible or not?





today,i got the information,that on intelsat 10 in cband a transmision feed is back with this parameters!

Rally World" pn3931


V 5632 3/4 WINCHESTER 3 ( SID 1 / PMT 32 / V 308 / 256 / PCR 8190) in MPEG-2 4:2:0.
ist back today,still transmit!


the signal it self is very strong 72% with 3,60m mesh,so it schould also work with 2,40 m mesh dish,the problem is,in menu i have only dvb s2 and dvb qpsk what i can select,currencly i have no carrier


now iam not sure,is dm 800 with gimini not compatible to mpeg2 4:2:0
this is not the same mpeg then the ebu feeds use,its the same,like on 40 east express,and here,all programms working well!


so maybe there is a a little bit difrent in the modulation,or the dm 800 has problems with the low 5632 sybolrates,any ideas ,what i could try?

Hello Turok,

I saw this "Rally World" (3931 V 5632 3/4 channel name "WINCHESTER 3") often fridays between 1.00 and 2.00 pm. After that the signal switched off.

You could watch it with DM 800 receiver, because it is MPEG-2 (DVB-S) and NOT in video-norm 4:2:2 !!
