My System: Dreambox 800 HD 500Gb, Dreambox 500 S, VBox 2, Jaeger 99G H to H 36v, Invacom Twin LNB 0.3db, 85 cm Mesh Dish

Depends what motor you have? I have a 36volt HtoH operated through a VBox which maintains all the positions. I just have to set the DM800 motor settings to advanced and set the position number for each satellite after reflashing. I believe it is easier for a Diseqc mount as you just set it to USALS.

I also backup all my channel settings using DreamboxEdit and restore them after reflashing. As long as you have the motor settings correct as above, the dish moves to the selected channel straight away without any fuss.

DreamboxEdit doesn't save satellite motor positions. There is a file that is the positions (and I can't remember which one) but given how easy it is to screw up settings I always rescan/ store satellite positions when I flash a new image.

It gets quicker each time you do it

I didn't say it does! wwe needs to tell us his setup in terms of motor settings etc. As I said my VBox takes care of postioning and I never have to set the actual dish up again.
