Question Novice looking for help

I am new to this so please be patient with me.

Moved in a new place with the gf and they left a 1.2m with 2 lnb's, havnt got a clue where they are pointing most proly hotbird and astra?

Is it possible to get an 800 with this setup since i was recomended to go motorised?

Last but not least, how the heck does the sharing thing work exactly cause iv been googling for the past few hours and still havn't found enough satisfactory info.

Btw im mainly looking at this reciever for the HD capabilities!!

Welcome to the forum

Yes you can connect a Dreambox to a dish with two LNBs.

Cardsharing is where someone has a subscription card and give you access to it using the Internet e.g. using a cam called CCcam that runs on their Dreambox and your Dreambox.

One scenario is that a group of friends have a card each and share them to each other.

Another scenario is you pay a stranger to share their card(s). Both are illegal.

Local laws may vary but using a Dreambox as a receiver isn't illegal in most countries (from memory India and some middle East countries aren't keen on them).

Using keys (but not card sharing) to decrypt encrypted channels may be illegal where you live.

Card sharing is probably illegal in most countries where the cards are sold. If in doubt - don't do it.
