VLC Deinterlacing

Hi all,

I stream my DM800 to another TV via VLC and it works very well. The only issue I have is artifacts on the likes of scrolling infobars such as Sky Sports News, if I enable Bob Interlacing on VLC this seems to filters most of the artficats out.

When you exit out though, the deinterlacing gets disabled again. Ive tried setting it within the preferences for filters but it seems to ignore this when streaming from the DB. Anyone know a way of fixing this or another workaround for deinterlacing the stream?

Cheers

Well, found out how to make this permanent in case anyone is interested...
Tools-->Preferences
Click Show Settings All button
Branch open Video and Highlight Filters
Scroll down and tick the "Deinterlacing Video Filter"
I also set a little sharpening on the sharpening filter and the picture is much better now from default, no more mice teeth effect on scrolling text!
