Help with Internal Card Reader needed

Hi all,
just got a DM800 (clone unfortunately!) a week ago and have gone through the steep learning curve with the help of this forum.

After making mistakes such as loading an incompatible version of BH, then having to re-flash a bootloader have now got a stable system of Nabilo BH 11 with bootloader 72.

Want to get my SLY white card working in internal slot initially.

Loaded NEWCS 1.66 with CCcam 2.11.
Used the (super) Dreambox config creator with my boxkey serial.
Put the files in the right place etc.

Cannot get the card (or even the reader) to work.

To debug I have run CCcam_211 -d

The output I got had the following lines in when CCcam tried to read through NEWCS are:

cam logs removed - admin

The reason for this is simple - the forum could be accused of actively assisting card sharing.

Apologies for posting the CAM log. I thought it was okay as it only covered debugging hardware. Will not do so again.

NEWCS management console is showing the card reader with a cross in the status.

and by debugging I am getting a message the cannot open device /dev/sci0

I have put an old ART sports card in the reader, and it is recognised, so the physical reader is okay.

Must be a problem with the newcs_166. Does this version work with White cards?

My boxkey is definitely correct as I tried both the 17 digit on the barcode and the 10 digit in the sly box software and they both yielded the same result.

The newcs.xml file generated was placed in /etc/tuxbox/config
and the line below was added to the CCam.cfg
N: 192.168.0.101 15000 User1 User1 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

Solved the problem. The card slot was just sticky.
I pushed the card in an out a few times and it started working!

The ART card was slightly slimmer than the SLY which gave me the idea.

No problem

A cam log is a cam log even if its just a debug log. The problem is that folks see logs and think "aha its ok to post them - they can tell me why my c/s isnt working"

All of a sudden we have dozens of threads with detailed logs in them from folks demanding a fix to their c/s problem.

asifc, can you please let me know all of the settings or any info on how you got this to work!!!! im pulling out my hair!

i know the readers working cos if i put old blue card it says card detected, using boxid, but then says 'init fail' and then back to 'no or unknown card inserted'

am almost ready to chuck the box out of the window!!!
