Hi!
3 days, ago,my dvr 7000 has left my,after 2 years,i disconect, the power for one hour, before, everthing was working fine, but then, after repluging, the nightmare comes, all settings and channels, are gone, like factory reset, and the strangest of all ,it shows motor error,in all directions, when i try to move my smr 1224,then i changed the conection cable,to my dvr 3600 and everything works fine,so my motor is okay!

can anyone explain, how this could happens?
is there,a battery inside,in ther reveiver,that i can replace?
what type is it?
maybe, then the mind comes back, maybe not

otherwise,i put ",my "mashine" into the basket ,or troth out of the window, when repairing ,is to expensice.dont know..

Mmm

Seems a very odd scenario, my understanding of the definition of an an EEprom is Electrically Eraseable Programmable, Read Only Memory, thus even if the power is removed the information contained within the memory of the chip is retained, this scenario suggests that this unit uses Dram which would be unfortunate and unlikely unless they are maintaining the memory in the short term as you say using a Cmos type battery which in your case appears to have failed.
