NASA World Wind

Any one played with this?

http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/

"World Wind lets you zoom from satellite altitude into any place on Earth. Leveraging Landsat satellite imagery and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission data, World Wind lets you experience Earth terrain in visually rich 3D, just as if you were really there."

Sadly my computer is just about off the bottom of the recommended specs

"System Requirements

Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, or XP
Intel Pentium 3, 1 GHz, or AMD Athlon or higher
256 MB of RAM
3D Graphics Card
nVidia GeForce 2 Ultra
ATI Radeon 7500
Intel Extreme Graphics 2
DSL / Cable connection or faster
2 GB of disk space"

BTW its opensource

My System: Technomate 5500 Super,SG2100,Raven 90 cm,42east to 30west,36" of CRT,Freeview from Crystal Palace,6.1 surround,Custom PC,Wireless network.

The resolution of the picture when you zoom in to a major city is not very good is it.....

Then again my PC's spec's are not good either.

Still trying to find my way around the program at the moment, best viewed I find when an internet connection is present.
