I have my old blue sly card in my TM6800 which had been working great for Five/er/USA, Sly3 & Ch4HD. Sadly the other day it stopped clearing them.O-no

Has my old blue card reached the end of the road & if so would it be worthwhile for me to get a new white card or should I just get the kids to use catchupTV through the PC?

I'm getting a bit disappointed in the Sat scene at the moment as it now only seems to be new box sales & cs focused. (having bought 4 boxes 2x500s, 1xTM5200 & 1x TM6800 and two 90 cm motorized dishes in the past two years) I am worried that I bought into last decades tech and that the sat scene people are moving onto slingbox & other streaming routes.

Do I get a new card or sell the lot?

In Denmark...where lucky me is, TV signal was switched to digital. and new channels were also released. I relied on my good TM 6900 Super + to carry me thru this...but some channels have picture and no audio. after some painful research I figured its due to the fact that transmission of audio is HE-AAC and possibily unsupported by TM.

I wrote TM and waiting for an answer, but if there are any shortcuts pleas
oblige. ( aint buying anumore boxes :-) _
TIA

Dear all,

I am in Denmark pointed at 28 deg. I get a fair bit of my favorites channels on the TM 6900...but EPG seems to be lacking big time.
I have purchased the box about 3 months ago, so I assume the S/W must be recent.
is EPG ok for all UL FTAs or is just my box that is buggy?

TIA

I have just added a 'WD Elelemnts' 1tb usb hard drive to my TM-6900.
At first, it worked perfectly. I was able to view jpgs, play mp3s, and record a couple of programs.
Now, a few days later, I can't do anything. It won't record anything, and can't see any jpgs or mp3s.

I have:[INDENT]unplugged everything, switched everything on and off.[INDENT]reloaded the TM software (version 688) just in case it had got corrupted.[INDENT]reformatted the hard drive (I downloaded formatting instructions from the TM website, but my vista PC didn't offer anything like the choices they list. I just formatted it anyway, and reloaded my mp3, etc.)

The hard drive is readeable on the PC, with all files visible. When I connect it to the TM-6900 I get message saying it is connected, but when I select the fuile list is says 'not ready'. Mp3s, etc are still invisible.

It seems odd the the drive worked straight out of the box, but not now. It works perfectl;y with the PC.
Is this a fault on the TM-6900? Or am I doing something wrong. The manual is not very helpful on this topic.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I'm looking at getting a Technomate 6800 HD to receive German TV from Astra 19.2. My old SD receiver showed about a week's worth of EPG for all German channels. Does the Technomate do the same? Could anyone please check for me before I buy and let me know?

Thanks,

I am looking for my first satellite system and would really appreciate some guidance, so any advice would be much appreciated. I am looking for an HD system that has the facility to record, ideally with twin turner so can record and watch different channels. I live in Devon, and the dish will have a clear sight South and to the East.
I have read lots of posts, some of which aren’t the most recent, and there may newer products that might now be better hence the list of questions!

If I go for a motorised 90cm/1m dish like a Gibertini 1m and 0.1db Titanium LNB – is that a good combination? (I appreciate the planning implications)

The receiver which looks to have a number of good features, without being too tricky to set-up I thought the Technomate TM6800 HD Combo plus. Of all the manufacturers on the forum the Technomate seems to attract the most posts/replies hence why I think there must be a lot of fans out there! I have seen some posts that weren’t very complementary regarding blind search and functions against the standard 6800 – any current owners views? How easy is it to set-up and in normal use?

If I only have a coax cable currently installed between the sitting room and the loft can I still control the motor if, I go for say a TM-2300 Diseqc motor? (I intend mounting the dish on the East facing wall, not chimney!).
Initially, I am looking to watch FTA channels and those HD ones where available. When I have gained more knowledge I would like to look further afield for other channels/satellites so my son can watch more sport in Europe, as he loves to watch football. I know there are lots of satellites to pick up, but I don’t want to set my expectations too high!
