My System: Fibo 90cm, Inverto White Tech 0.3dB, Moteck SG-2100A, Dreambox DM7020S, Dreambox DM 600C, Fibo 55cm (to be installed!) |
I moved from the UK to Switzerland a couple years ago and have had to suffer being connected to cable ever since, with no prospect of being able to put up a dish . . . until now! I would have loved to bring my 90cm with me, but it will stay put as it's just too damn big for my balcony in Zürich. So, I'm in the market for a 55cm and I gather these bad boys are a little difficult to get hold of. ![]() Apart from the standard practice of regularly checking Ebay Are there any good alternatives anyone can recommend?

My System: Fibo 90cm, Inverto White Tech 0.3dB, Moteck SG-2100A, Dreambox DM7020S, Dreambox DM 600C, Fibo 55cm (to be installed!) | Ok, now I'm confused! ![]() I installed my Fibo 90cm with the fixed (AZ/EL) mount it came with to a DiSEqC motor. I want to do the same with the 55cm, so would I need this same AZ/EL mount to connect a 55cm to a DiSEqC motor? Am I right in saying that the polar mount cannot be connected to a DiSEqC motor? Sorry if I'm asking simple questions, but it's been a few years since I did my installation and have been on this forum, so have to learn everything again!

TECHNOMATE 5500 CIP PLUS Receiver, STRONG 4375(as Backup) | Hi The original fibo polar mounts use a 36v motor, but can be modded to use a diseqc motor(see mods in owners club) If you use the fixed mount bracket as you have before you can fix a diseqc motor straight to it. Hope that clears things up. Bob

My System: 75e-75w C & KU, 36v h-h /36v & diseqc actuators / diseqc -USALS motors / Anlg to HD Channel Masters C120s dishes, stb's inc echo3000, lnbs, meters, custom polar mounts & elevation/incline actuator conversions... | you can connect just about anything to a diseqc motor - no need for a special az/el but you may need to modify a small dish mount because it may be too small to fit on the motor arm.... a polar mount on a diseqc motor would be really good for a photo though.

Turok, does the back of your dish have the same fixing as in the picture in the link above?
