I have found the Fibo 120cm clone

There is a manufacturer in Spain that makes an exact clone of the Fibostöp 120cm dish.

The main reflector got the exact same dimensions but they have used different parts for the subreflector and feedarms.

As i have all parts from the original Fibo 120 i was thinking of ordering just the dish and install the original Fibo subreflector and arms and feed to this Spanish dish.

Take a look at the pictures below and then compare them to a original Fibo and you will see the picture.

Big thanks goto koansrc on this forum for the pictures and his help, he owns this antenna and they sell it in the standard offset version and then you can buy the addon kit that transforms it to a Gregorian dish.

Any pictures of the French gregorian?

Never seen one.

I phoned the product manager of the gregorian dish above in Spain, he never heard about Fibostöp in Norway, yeah right....

Anyone could see that it's a clone of Fibostöp, the mounting ring, the dimension of the dish, the f/d of the dish, everything is copied.

It would be very interesting to see what the difference in performance is in the standard offset setup compared with the subreflector attached.

If i see the parts of LNB holder i think its not a factory but make from parts that you can sell at the homeshop.

ciberland.com have a 1.35M dish on their website which has a gregorian adapter kit that looks similar to Likvid's pictures.

I wish Andrew could make a gregorian model of their 120cm Offset dish as they already are offering gregorian in 180cm and 240cm versions.

My System: Comag Porty II 12 volt. 1.3M dish for Astra2 with Lidl LNB (still the best IMHO!). & 1.0M for hotbird & astra1 with patent twin bracket ;)

Sorry to say that ciberland.com 1.35m dish is really a 1.22m.......it's in the small print.

Apologies for breaking in, but I looking at their site for a sensibly priced large offset & forgot the Spanish way of 'measuring'.

It's 1.35m on the height, not width.

HELP!! --I know I'm out of my depth here.......... but I thought I'd read that the width was the accepted way of expressing the size of an offset dish....except in Spain.

(I know you are using the dish differently)

Give me ten years to catch up!

Just picked up on this thread. I am quite pleased with the performance of the dish ( although I have nothing to compare it to ... ). As for the gregorian adapter, the manufacturer ( TECATEL ) promises 0,7db increase in signal. I haven't measured it, but I did get a noticable improvement. Much easier to get the difficult channels. For example Euronews was quite difficult to get (even impossible) without the adapter but 24x7 since the adapter ( clear weather ).

The dish is not large and you can find it's specs at _http://www.tecatel.com/productoX.php?idp=802

It seems to be quite a "complete" model, as the manufacturer also offers a c-band adapter and a motorized version.

As a conclusion I think it's an excellent choice if you're limited for dish size, but for the same money (dish + gregorian ) you can probably get a larger dish.

I didn't think Likvid would post the pictures on the site so I only snapped them with my mobile. I've put some higher resolution ones in the classifieds as I am now **Selling** my wonderfull **SKY 28.2 ASTRA & EUROBIRD setup** in hope of getting a 3.0m next week.

Hello all

This is my first post on this forum, I bought this dish and and installed the basic version without the gregorian add-on. after installation I want to replace the standard construction with the gregorian add-on, but I didn't get any signal. Is there somebody who have experience with this set. Do I have to readjust the dish after installing the add-on.
