Hot from F1.com McLaren have been fined by stewards at Monza for running a new lightweight gearbox that had not been crash tested in last month's Hungarian Grand Prix.McLaren did not feel the modifications were sufficient to warrant a new crash test and hence only notified the FIA of changes on the Thursday of the Hungaroring meeting. Exact details of the gearbox revisions were supplied after the event and the structure was subsequently tested successfully. More...
