Frozen and locked!! Help

I've managed to get my receiver locked, was just channel surfing, went onto ch 6494 I think, now it wont move or respond, tried turning it off and on and just goes back to this channel, is there a way of hard resetting? baring in mind i cant use the software menus? Thanks

sorted thanks, removed the sat lead so it couldnt get a signal, which stopped it locking on! phew

I hope you powered it down first, or at least before you re-inserted the cable from the lnb

Hi there i had the same problem and done exactly the same thing is unpluging the cable a stupid thing to do can it cause some damage while the thing is still switced on.

That is a fault that used to occur on some of the early Samsung receivers.

The channel that you are watching is transmitting outside the DVB minimum requirements, and will cause the receivers firmware to 'cycle' whilst trying to process logic from the data stream.

Which channel caused the loss ? and have you deleted it from the channel list ?
