ITV HD Mystery!

Hi

I've successfully downloaded and installed the latest s/w but still have no ITV HD?
I can get BBC and Luxe, I'm on Astra 28.2E?

I'm sure I've probably missed a whole thread or something! if so, sorry!

Not with the receiver.

Which software have you downloaded? The latest on the Fortecstar site has the ITV HD channel included. You need the latest loader from there too.

Hi, totally new to HD satellite. Have read lots of the forum posts on ITV HD on 28.2 (Sky mini dish) but I still cannot get it.

I have Fortec Passion with loader 1.5.0 and sw 1.1.4, latest on Fortec site as recommended on forum.

Loaded pav114_20080627 with usb. Did a scan of transponders - I do not see ITV HD listed, but from reading posts I gather it should be with this file?

I do have BBC HD and Luxe HD no problem as I have always had. Is there something I have missed or probably do not understand? Please help.

UPDATE -: It appears the only thing I was doing wrong was that I didn't do a factory reset, after that was done I selected regional programmes from the displayed choice (only seem to find ITV HD with this selection) and viola! ITV HD was listed as programme 3.

Pity it wasn't showing any programmes when I finally got it going, looking forward to viewing tomorrow! Thanks to all for all the info on the forum.

Yes, a little quiet on that channel after Euro2008. Better things to come (hopefully)

I emailed ITV themselves to see about programming guides, this is their reply -:

Dear Peter

Thank you for your email.

Launching a new service takes time and involves thorough testing of all applications and software. For this reason we had committed to launching the service in time for the new football season. The testing having gone well, we were in a position to launch with live high definition coverage of Euro 2008.

We’re also pleased to be able to start broadcasting some of our major movies in HD. Our coverage of premium football in HD will continue in August with the Super Cup Final, Community Shield, and then the start of the new season – with live UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and England internationals.

As we move through 2008 we will announce other HD programming.

ITV is launching an easy to access service – accessible through existing programming via the red button. A channel is not economically viable under the current regulatory framework in which ITV operates. In the next few weeks it’s planned to include ‘Prog in HD’ on the Freesat HD EPG as well as in information supplied to listings’ magazines.

The following programmes are indicated in HD:

ITV1
17th July - Harley Street - 2100hrs
19th July - FF Junior - 1715hrs
21th July - FF True Lies - 2240hrs
24th July - Harley Street - 2100hrs
