fortec star passion - using the listings editor

Help

Ive managed to load the channel listings from the passion via USB to the Fortec PC programme.
I've reordered some of the fav's.
Ive worked out how to save the files and have checked that they are on the USB.

The problem when I ask the Fortec Star Passon to read the USB file all seems to go fine but then it reboots to 'initial setup' you are back to the initial setup screen with choice of language/ region/ parent control etc. and then it reloads the origial listings file.

Where am I going wrong?

Any help welcome

You are choosing "Channel Data Transfer - Read USB" as opposed to "Software Update" before choosing the channel list file on the USB stick, I take it?

My System: Fortec HD Passion+ 65cm Dish and 'correctly skewed' LNB supplied in Maplin kit.

Same sort of issue...re-sorting channels on the Passion+.
I tried the Remote Control method and have tried the SetEditPassion software but that seems to mess things up.
Maybe I've used the software incorrectly. When I saved the re-sorted channels back to the Passion+ no channels worked (No Signal) even though the channels were in the new order.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi Strat

Is SetEditPassion OK for the Passion+ ?
Not that this helps BooBoo2, but which verion of SetEditPassion are you using? There are issues with V1.0 (although I must admit I thought they only affected HD channels), you need v1.01 not on Fortec's site, but can be obtained elsewhere on the web.

On Fortec's site under Passion they only have V1.0 (27 Nov. 2007)

Hi Roy

V1.01 build 119 is what I tried (easily Googled).

Admittedly it was a brief try and I must have another go probably paying more attention.
I uploaded the channel data onto a memory stick, rearranged some channels, dumped it back to the memory stick and downloaded it back to the Passion which was subsequently rebooted.
On reboot I had no working channels so did a satellite delete and rescan.

Better luck next time I hope.
