My System: 'Fortec Star Passion' (& a dead SL65) One of them big Woks on the outside, and a thingy that moves it about a bit.
Question Fortec Star Passion and Freesat for Dummies?

Note the capital 'D'

I have the Passion, also Cas3 + Diablo Cam.

Can anyone point me to detailed instructions for setting up Freesat?

Do I need to buy a card to get it?

If you mean the Freesat from Sky offerings, yes you need a Sky card. Either one that you already have or a Freesat card from Sky (£20). You'll need a Sky digibox to authorise it though.

Your Diablo will then need to be loaded with a Stealth or Underworld file to recognise the card.

Procedure -

Launch Cas Studio

Choose Diablo Cam from the Menu

Choose the Diablo Stealth update (.dup) file that you have downloaded from a file site to your PC ( Stealth 254 OK)

Click the 'Start Update' button and wait for the file to finish loading.

Thank you LLew, I will try this as soon as I have repaired the washing machine.

I want to do away with Virgin but need the basic channels, and understand
Freesat has more channels.

Considering the rubbish on some of the channels, might be better to stick to watching the stuff in the window of your washing machine
