Passion + Unable to watch recorded programs

Hi guys this is my first post on here so here goes:

I got my self at xmas a fortecstar passion + kit from maplin's got it all up and running all ok updated my firmware to 1.08 that fixed the timer for recording so it records spot on now but i can NOT watch anything i have recorded sd or hd, It play's for about 2-3sec then goes of back to the channel you was on i have tryed every diffrent way i can think of will not have it at all any idea's thanks pops107

A friend of mine had the same problem; I'm pretty sure it turned out to be an issue that was resolved when he attached the ariel loop that came with the unit.

There should be a small, back-to-back ariel loop in the box, if you hook that up to the back (as per the instructions) it *should* solve that problem. It loops the receiver signal back and fixes recording problems (in theory).

It could also be a jumper setting issue; I've read about that online also.
