I bought the Fortec 5100 Ultra and discovered there was no Scart RGB connection - despite being sold as a European model, it was obviously intended for the NA market, where this facility is not used (not a software issue - no RGB out on the CPU). In my experience, Fortec churn out new STB's and variations on existing models like there's no tomorrow, with corresponding lack of aftermarket support. To date, they have 36 different Fortec receivers, many of which do not have any kind of recent software updates. Llew

The mobo didn't have the necessary track connections to the Scart. Maybe later 5100 boxes had a different board. Llew

STi chips have been very accommodating to patching and jtagging - maybe scope for some unofficial software in the future? Llew

A version of the Passion will be available in the US soon, the guys over there will no doubt be checking its possibilities for patching. I think it'll be using a different chipset though to cater for the different HD system there. Llew
