BFBS 9 seems like their + one day later channel

Got BFBS 2 daytime close down for my blog, very odd seeing what really is a British channel close down in the daytime.

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

BFBS 1 - 10 all Encrypted at present.

Just having a spring clean of my Rx Channel Lists and thought I'd add these "just in case".

never seen any for sale.

you need to know someone that works in the armed forces for a chance of ever getting hold of a viewing card for the channels.

Not only that but they have to be taken in with their receivers and re-signed every couple of months, and they could be in serious trouble if they go missing.
But I know someone who is using one on c/s

What do you mean by resigned ever couple of months, are we talking about the equipment or do the cards get up dated very couple of months??

If by a miracle a box and card can be found would anyone know how long the card would last for?? do they change them every couple of years????

Not going to happen - according to posts on another forum there are very very serious consequenses if anyone misuses their tv card, up to and including withdrawal of all welfare facilities for the entire family..

Theres a weekly newspaper for forces perssonel here and it mentioned in an ad that "there will be an accounting audit and serial number check of all bfbs decoders.all personnel are to re-sign their loan card at the terchnical store. anyone failing to re-sign will have their card cancelled and may face recovery action".( i have the advert in front of me).
I was at a customer today who had a bfbs decoder(which i installed) belonging to his tenant. The box/card was replaced recently.
