My System: Bush HD Freesat box feeding Sharp HD LCD TV |
I am new to this Forum so apologies if this has been brought up before. I bought a Bush HD Freesat box and connected it to a sky dish. Signal strength averaged 78%. When using an HDMI cable connection to the TV I found that after switching the box to standby and back again, or even after just leaving it on overnight, I got a blank screen, with sound only. I exchanged the box at Argos but the replacement does the same thing. I then called the Bush helpline. They told me to turn off the power, pull all the connections then replace them and switch on. That worked but it's not what I would call a permanent fix. Am I doing something wrong or should I get my money back and buy a Humax box? perryowens

My System: Topfield 4000PVR with Aston 1.07 CAM, (canaldigitaal), dragoncam, Sky digibox (freesat), Strong FTA box, Visiosat trisat looking at Astra1, Astra2 and Hotbird, Various home built computers, Linux & windows | If you have set the HDMI output to 1080i then you could try setting it to 720p, this worked for me. As for the humax box, I would check to see if the lip-sync issue has been fixed first.
