My System: Grundig FreeSatBox on an ex Sky dish
BBC News - Poor Reception

Hi Folks - newbie here.

Just installed a Grundig Freesat box on an ex Sky dish and all went well. Only channel to have a problem is BBC News. Is this an on ongoing issue for the transmission or just something I have a glitch with?

Picture is jumpy if at all - and eventually we're told no signal?

Northeast UK BTW

Hello

Welcome to the forum Kahuna,

Well It could be something simple like the dish has had a knock, a lack of fine tuning on the dish. It could be interference from another piece of equipment but because of the frequency of BBC news 11954H it is not likely to be a DECT phone swamping the signal, but if you have one it may be worth switching off the base station just to be sure.

Thanks Topper - I take it that if I get excellent reception on all other channels it's unlikely to be the dish alignment then?

I'll try the phones and see if thats it.
