What does a Sky Freesat Card Give You?

What Do you get with Freesat from Sky that isn't already open.

It looks like you get five US and Fiver, but is there anything else?

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

Five
Fiver / +1
Five US / +1
Setanta Sport News
Channel 4 HD (HD boxes only obviously)

The card also puts C4 / C5 on the epg and provides the correct regionalisations for BBC & ITV

Analoguesat

Curious one noted by my brother. He says that ITV HD is not available on Sky HD boxes - but is available to Freesat users. Does this make sense? Is there any way to get ITV HD on a Sky HD box?

No - ITV HD is hidden from Sky boxes.

New addition to the ftv list - Iranian news service Press TV on 515 is reported to be ftv

That's a shame about Press TV - It has been FTA for a week or two.

In fact, adding that to all my Boxes was what caused me to investigate my LNB performance above 12600 MHz! (qv).

I rather like dipping into an eclectic mix of News Channels.

Thanks for the bad news (although I may have a $£€ Box somewhere around the place, and there is always Hotbird).
