Are there any Effects of UK digital TV on Satellite Receivers in Spain

Hi

I am in the process of purchasing a 1.9m dish and freeview box etc for receiving uk tv in Spain. Can anyone tell me whether the changeover of uk tv to the digital broadcasting system will effect reception here in spain? Will I need to purchase any additional equipment once I have the above dish, lnb, box etc? Thank you

Two separate platforms. Freeview is via terrestrial and freesat is received by satellite. The uk DSO (digital switch over) will have no effect on satellite signals being received.

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Freeview ?? !!! You'll be lucky to get Digital Terrestrial TV over there

Seriously, what Receiver are you planning to get? There are Sky Boxes, Freesat (sic.) Boxes, cheapo generic Free To Air Receivers you can pick up from the Hypermarket with your weekly shop .......

Well

In response to your original question, what is there is what will be there for a few years to come. The only change will probably be the advent of more HD channels.
