Hello

Welcome to the forum Tess38

Ok well assuming the dish is still aligned and lnb and cable are OK a basic free to air FTA stb will give you all the FTA freesat channels just by connecting the cable up to the back of the stb. As regards the Dutch channels most of the Dutch channels are on 23.5 East. On a sky dish you may be able to get them using a monobloc lnb 6 degree if it is a zone 2, but a 5 degree may now be available. I am sure a member installer can confirm that. For encrypted Canal Digital, it would seem you now have to have an stb which is matched to their card

Canal Digitaal starts receiver swap

I suggest you upload a picture to here so that we can see what you are starting with

My System: Topfield 4000PVR with Aston 1.07 CAM, (canaldigitaal), dragoncam, Sky digibox, Bush HD Freesat, Visiosat trisat looking at Astra1, Astra2 and Hotbird.

Most Dutch channels are still on 19.2 east, only the HD and local stations have moved to 23.5 east.

I have a HUMAX Freesat PVR set up to receive Freesat and Dutch channels using a CAM, it works quite good although you need to switch between freesat and none freesat modes which means you cannot record freesat and watch dutch telly.

Aston 1.05. I am not sure what will happen after the switch to mediaguard 3. I may need to get an official canaaldigitaal CAM.
