My System: Ross 65cm dish and freesat receiver (used in the weekend pikey wagon)- pc is self built (and old) 2gb ram, 3 x 80gb hard drives, 2gb Intel processer, dvd and cd burners, sony 17" monitor. | Newbie here so apologies if this has been covered before. I've got my eye on a second hand Sky+ box and am wondering if it is possible to receive the Astra sat channels without a viewing card? ![]() TIA, John

If you want to record get a Freesat PVR.

There are a number of differences between the channels on Freeview and the free channels on Freesat so dont expect Dave and half a dozen others. Which channels are vitally important to you?
