My System: Currently: Sky with minidish in one room
Getting started...

Hey there!
Currently in my house we have a sky minidish which is connected to a standard Sky box in one room.
I would like to keep this sky untouched (as we pay the subscription fee for it and use it a lot) but add freesat into another room.
Would it be as simple as me changing the LNB on the minidish to a Dual/Quad LNB then obviously having one cable running to my sky box and another to a Freesat HD PVR box?

I hope you can get the picture of what im trying to achieve here, any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
dom.

Welcome to the forum,

Yes, changing over to a quad LNb will allow both systems to function.

For the PVR, you'll need two feeds from the quad.

Thanks for the very prompt reply
Ah yes i forgot about that, so theoretically that means i can run a sky box, a freesat PVR, and 1 more freesat box (NOT PVR) unless i have something like an 8 output LNB (which im not sure exist?)?

Yes that's correct

Octo LNb's have 8 switched outputs.

Thanks very much for your help
Just to clarify, I will 100% be able to watch Sky and Freesat at the same time with no satalite moving or anything needed?
