My System: sky freesat dish and box at present
Strange Foxsat HD box problem.

Hi again,
We have a very strange problem as above. I switch on box and set and the programme of the number displayed on the box opens and is fine.
If I try to change up or down a channel with the remote, "no signal" comes up on screen.
The weird thing is, when a channel is playing if I try to adjust the volume on the set "no signal" comes up.
When "no signal" is displayed I can change the channel number on the box, switch the box off, and then the new channel runs fine.
This box runs from a quad lnb from a Raven sky dish with another feed running to a sky box in another room and it is working fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?.
Presumably as a last resort I can swap the boxes over ?.
Cheers,
Mags.

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

I should say swopping the boxes over is the first resort.

By doing so you will prove whether a Box is faulty or whether the system feeding it is faulty.

Edit: Ok, Ok, the second resort. The first task is to reboot the Humax to see if it clears the issue.

Thanks very much for that, it's almost certainly the box. I can get a channel up then the menu, but as soon as I use the "up" arrow it goes back to "no signal".
Just off to the other room with the box to confirm.

Well that was exciting for a sunday afternoon.
Sky box not working on Foxsat cable, Foxsat working on Sky cable.
Checked both ends of cable, no problems, still not working.
Eventually discovered that the no.1 button on tv remote had stuck down.
All systems go again.
Thanks again.
