My System: sky dish humax hd box and reorder
how do I get extra channels on FreeSat?

Hi
Have just finalised set up of old Amstrad Sky box and FoxSat HDR using old Sky dish and a quad LNB.
I now have all the channels between the two boxes. Is there any way I can get the "missing" channels on the FoxSat ( Fiver/Fiver USA/Sky3/Sky News and others) ???
This would allow me to retire the geriatric Amstrad to the next carboot sale.
Also, does anyone know if there is the equivalent of the Sky Gnome for the FoxSat so I can listen to the radio around the house/garden ???
Thanks

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

You can get Sky News, but not the others.

Sky News is Free To Air (Unencrypted), but the others are Free To View (Encrypted, but free of Subscription: ie A Sky Card with one off payment to cover costs, but no monthly fee)

To get Sky News, you need to change to non-Freesat mode then scan the Transponder 12207 V 27500 2/3.

But that won't then go on the Freeat EPG ('cos Sky haven't coughed up the wodge) and you can only view it in non-Freesat Mode.

My System: Sky; Raven 90 multi-LNB 1W, 7E, 9E, 13E 16E, 19E; 1m Orbital dish on Moteck SG2100 motor; Technomate 1500, Phoenix Apollo and Kathrein (analogue) etc etc Receivers

Other free channels can also be obtained and stored in non-freesat mode by entering frequencies/details as in following link: _http://www.lyngsat.com/28east.html

Thanks for that
This is getting to be a "hobby" now ! In a couple of months the garden will look like an early warning scanning station with a plethora (you don't see that word very often nowadays) of dishes.
