My System: Conventional Freesat
Manually add BBC 3 and 4

Hi,
Now that I am receiving the channels from Astra/Eurobird 28.2 again, I notice that I am missing BBC 3 and BBC 4, along with some others like Zone Romantica.

Is there any way to manually add these in, if the scanning does not pick them up?

Oh, I have a Fortec Star Sigma receiver hooked up to a mini sky dish. It's pretty old.

Thanks,
Glen

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

I know what the problem is here.............

BBC3 and BBC4 share time with CBBC and CBeebies and don't go on air until 19.00.

So either wait until 7.01 pm and rescan, or just change the labels for CBBC and CBeebies.

Easy one, that

Slightly more tricky is Zone Romantica etc.

If you have Blind or Auto Scan and they aren't coming in, you are possibly suffering interference from something like a Digital Cordless Phone or BT Home Hub. Turn all Base units and Handsets off and rescan ...................

My System: Zone1, DSI8215 SkyHD, Thomson DSI4214, TF5000CI, Dreambox DM800 HD PVR - Nab BH0.12, TM-5200D, Gibertini 104cm, SNH-031, 36v Actuator, Vbox-II, 42°E to 30°W, Sling Media, Televes H45 Digital Processing Analyser, Satlook Micro+G2 NIT, Rover SDM 1s

What other channels are missing out of interest? Zone Romantic is at an IF of 1593Mhz, not around DECT freqs.

I take your point - although DECT isn't the only potential source of grief.

If all likely incompatible sources are switched off, interference can either be eliminated completely or the culprit can be discovered by switching them all back on in turn.
