My System: IDD CI24 ECONO MM Penta 1.20 Galaxy II 1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 21 years and is still driven by a modified wiper motor from a Ford Anglia. It's like me sometimes groans but always performs

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

I do hope you aren't going to regret not taking my earlier advice ..........

hd box?

Software update spikes certain Freesat set-top boxes

Freesat update - goodmans hd fault

Bush = Goodmans ............

However, the offending Firmware is not currently being transmitted, so perhaps this is why your box is hanging.

You might try to find the Menu option which disables Automatic Updates: I think that for a first time Installation the Box is seeking something which isn't there.

I still recommend the Humax Foxsat: Got mine for around half list price.

No significant quality issues and far more flexible than Harvard products.
