My System: Fortec Star
Progamming Fortec star

Hi everyone,
im installing a lot Forteck star receiver FS-4200, My problem is i like to have channels in the right order for customers to find easy, so every unit I have to program every channel the way i think i will be easy fo my customers to find it east to use, as you all know this can be time consuming, I was wondering if there is a a way of hooking up a laptop to read a box that i have already programmed and then transfer this info true a laptop to save me endless time reprogramming every channel in every unit individually in every unit, would save me a hell of a lot of time, if it cant be done with the fortec unit, can it be done this way with any other unit on the market ?

Cheers all

Don't know whether this channel editor will do what you want, but it's worth giving it a try. _http://www.fortecstar.com/downloads/index.asp?products=84,1

Cheers mate, I was reading that off the fortec site and have emailed them looking for an answer, but heard nothing of as yet, so im just waiting on my Rs232 lead to see whats in there and can it be done, I have been told by CPC than the new updated box for the FS4200 is the FS-4000v2 and have had look at this unit and it looks like rubbish to me and going backwards rather than forwards. So not a bit impressed! with it, funny how CPC reckons it an upgrade and Forteck star don't even list it on there site . Not to happy with CPC at the moment, as they listed the FS-4200 on there site and the catalog in the kit and have let them know this too

Anyone else with the info, I sure would appreciate it. Cheers all
