What receiver with the best tuner sensitivity

It is well known and I have experienced it, not all receivers behave the same with respect to low signal level. For example we tested the metabox 3 tuner to be poor yes poorer that the metabox 1. I am in fringe area and 1 dB can make a big difference, can someone tell what is the best FTA tuners.Has any test been conducted to know at what Eb/No or C/N these tuners locked or unlocked.I do not rely on advertisement that always tells that their product has the best sensitive tuner. I need help from you who have had the chance to test your receivers with regard to signal conditions.

My System: 2.4mtr Channel Master Dish, Fracarro Penta 85cm Dish, 64cm Traix Dish with 4 multi LNB'S Sky HD, Dreambox 800, Dreambox 500, IPBOX 250, Sky HD and a mad wife !

Hi m8,

Over the years I have owned many receivers and for me nothing works better on weak signals then the Technomate range.

I still have my old DACI 5500 for sat hunting and tuning in the dish.

I used to own a Technomate CIP 5500 and this again was just like the DACI 5500.

The newer range of Technomates have a even more sensitive tuner in them.

Hope this helps.
