If you think it does, please give your reasons. Points to consider before framing your answer - Does it vary depending on where the satellite is located in relation to the receiving location - How long does it last as a noticeable effect - one week either side, one month either side, or what ? | ||

My System: Multiple Dishes, .5 to 4.0m, all Ku rated, at my home, (8+-).Involved in transmitting, (full duplex). Also I work with satellites as a contractor. | Ice crystals forming in the upper atmosphere during winter causes some attenuation. The longer the path through the atmosphere the more crystals are encountered. This is not the whole explanation as frequency and ice layering in the atmosphere has to be considered. It is a complex question that cannot be simply answered, sorry  (( a clue, think about how cold is gets just before sunrise and expand those concepts to what also is taking place above your head) | ||
