My System: Technomate 1500CI+, Comag SL55 and Skystar2 on a 104 cm motorized dish and Humax HDCI200 on 90 cm motorized dish.

Very strong here on my Gibby here in South Wales, Russia today is even locking in rain.

My System: 2.4mtr Channel Master Dish, Fracarro Penta 85cm Dish, 64cm Traix Dish with 4 multi LNB'S Sky HD, Dreambox 800, Dreambox 500, IPBOX 250, Sky HD and a mad wife !

Just home from work.

Manchester with 110cm and sharp lnb.

Getting the whole Viasat package now, with 110cm dish in the past only the H transponders were poss.

Watching Viasat sport 1 ( 11977V ) now perfect, even with my 240cm dish I use to have a few probs with the V transponders at 5.0e and had to skew the lnb big time.
No skew required at all for sirius 4.

Also none of the old up and down signal levels you use to get on the V transponders.

Its great and I might even try the 64cm dish tomorrow but that might be just a little too optimistic

Now I'm going to start looking for a official sub.

Just hope they don't start messing with this bird.

just a quick one you may have to just move your dish a little, think new location is 4.8 and not 5.0e.

I moved dish a tiny bit and this stopped all BER

BER is now zero

I reckon you will.

11804H for sport 2 and 3

11977V for sport 1

If your triax is setup right with a good LNB

OK, suddenly listed another 100 or so channels, Russia Today didn't show well, but then my motor is out of kilter at the moment, requires a trip up the ladder. Looks like good news for any 5E watchers in the UK though.

Sirius 2 is reported to be heading to 23.5E.

Havent seen anything definite for Sirius 3, although a report on the Transponder News forum says shes stopping at 5E for the time being. Presumably as back up.

Just tried with my 64cm triax.

Got a weak lock, only 2% short for a stable picture.

Looks like I'll try the 88cm triax, need one any way for 16.0e

Migration completed, and all the ex Sirius 3 channels are far, far stronger than they were before. (Using my battered 80 cm dish)

The S-3 verticals were a hopeless case before, but now roaring in with signal strengths:

11900V:

SNR 76%
AGC 86%
BER - 500-1000

My System: 90cm channel master, jaeger 1224 ,vantage x221tsci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, setanta on 60cm minidish

yes sirius 4 nordic beam here is good too on triax td88 dish with smart titanium lnb and vantage x221tsci receiver

just done a blind scan on 5e and got all tps with good signal levels

i reckon in my location a 1.2m would be good enough for reception even in heavy rain etc

seems viasat channels are on good transponders so hopeful for expats in uk after viasat channels

Good Morning to All,

It is interesting to hear that you all have better reception on Sirius4. Did you do any realignment? Here in Brussels I had good signal on my 55cm toroidal most of the time (except in heavy rain). After the changeover I have lost all the channels. Did a rescan but nothing has changed. In your opinion would some tweaking get me the signal back? Thanks for all your advice.

No realignments required - Sirius 4 is co-located with the other two Sirius birds, and all traffic apart from a couple of frequencies have done a straight swap onto S-4

M8 what Country do you live ?

I have friends across Europe who before Sirius 4 came along they could get signal from Sirius 2 and 3 but now with the swap they get nothing.

So while Siruis 4 is good for the UK it is not good for many people in other parts of Europe.

My System: Wave Frontier T90 Dreambox 7020S-Gemini 4.10 8 lnb's

Wave frontier T90 in west London and all frequencies are receiveable though some of them(unknown channels) are being received with a signal of 73%(DM7020) which makes them "just" viewable or sometimes not viewable. Mind you that the lnb isn't even in the middle of the WaveFrontier which must have some effect.

Greats news for UK viewers of 5E

My wave probably performs as your 85cm dish. There is no way you can't receive viasat. Maybe some alignment is needed?
