My System: Technomate 1500. 70cm
GMA Pinoy TV on Eurobird 2 (25.5E)

Can I receive this in the UK (London) ?

I think it is on the Eurobird 2-KU-Beam...

Also, I am trying to locate an Orbit Network card or decoder.....I rang Orbit in Saudi and they simply said I can not get it in Europe.

Sure some enterprising distributor can get me one ???

Thanks

Phil

Only if you have room to put a BIG dish up - somewhere around 1.5m probably.

It is easy to get a orbit xd300 seca decoder or one of the new orbit iredeto smart cards in the uk but they will not let you subscribe to the channels you want only the mega package, I use orbit via 25.5 east but i use a 1.8m dish to receive it,

Thanks again - I did see those on the Orbit web site.

Presumably the decoders will not work on EB2 AND 8W ?

I rang Orbit in Saudi and they said I can not receive GMA in Europe - it is not available....so I have to go to EB2 and not 8W ?

Yes the orbit decoder which has a inbuilt seca card or one of the new irdeto viewing cards will work on 25.5e or 8'w but as orbit would register you under other country (Europe) on their computer system they will not let you subscribe to the Filipino channels

Although the situation might be slightly different in the UK, charly20 in Brussels has tested if he gets anything on his Gibertini OP150. Absolutely nothing. Awaiting better weather conditions he will try with his Aerial Oy 240 as mentioned here: _http://forum.dxtv.de/wbb/thread.php?threadid=12520
