Post Ku band satellites with a 10 metres dish

How many Ku band visible satellites do I receive in SE Spain with a 10 metres satellite dish from 80 degrees West to 75 degrees East?

Explain there with words for each Ku band satellite, basing of this model:

Satellite - Orbital position (in degrees)
Dish size needed.

Hybrid C- and Ku band satellites also are welcome!

If a satellite is launched, please modify the list!

Thanks.

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 5 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/13E/16E /19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

No-one is going to make that sort of list for you.

Sufficient to say that a 10m dish would give you most if not all of the European sats, and maybe a few of the C-band Yank birds near 61W. (80W will be below your western horizon)

I narrow the search: from 75º West to 79º East. Remember: with a 10 metres dish.

My original comment stands no-one will make that sort of list up.

You want the info - you make the lists up - although this may help:

http://www.flysat.com/satlist.php

Its all academic anyway - its unlikely you would be able to afford a 10m dish

10m is indeed enormous. I've only once had the privilege of working with one, and even the secondary 3m we were using was just small in comparison.
Note that the pointing accuracy of something this big is also not to be ignored. We had a special seeking algorithm to point it exactly at the satellite we wanted to test. (Our goal was In Orbit TeSting)

I should say so!

The theoretical 3dB beamwidth of such a beast is in the region of 0.18 degrees. Total surface area of 78.5 square metres.

I can't even begin to imagine what the mount looked like, but it must have been pretty solid.

Let's just say, this definitely requires planning permission , and you're looking at a construction process of multiple months.

Just wondering if you can estimate the dish size used at Yes Israel HQ
Is it anywhere near a 10m dish?

My System: 1,25 Fibostop Jäger Smr 1224 Dual Axsis Echostar Dvr 7000 Monterey 140 Tagra 2,20 M Fullsize Dish Echostar 2,40m Mesch for cband!

Hello!
Siemens, produced in the 90s 10 Meter dishes, but only for telcom operators, what brand you are using, when i was visiting the thaicom uplink in march, this year,i saw a 15 Meter dish, with auto trucking in real!
how do you want to motoreized your dish?
what brand it is?
this motorsoultion,is very expensive 15000€ or more,i can imagine.)

long time ago, drdish told in his show,in europe, there are not to much enthusiast,to make, this experience, what happens in kuband!

the reunion beam should work on 16 east eutelsat F>2

Amos, east digital, middle east channel working with 4,5 meter dish,
but not the videogurard package from israel, when we see reports from turkey reveiving astra ,with 10 meter,in the east part of the country, the signal is very unstable, depens on the weather!

make, your experiment,in cband, then, normaly you sould reveive more channels on 37 east ,with this dize size then on kuband,36 east eutelsat w4,is working with 3 meter channel master here, and also 2 of the packsat freqencys,
same with 3,60 m mesh but not much programm on this satelite!
turksat 1c very weak, will be soon replaced with turksat 2A,and depends what kind
of spotbeam the using, you dont need a bigger dish then 3 meter anymore, here on my location,in spain, where you leave 16 east reunion beam, the footprint map says,is much stronger, then here in central europe, maybe you have luck, with amos east, but there is only one analoge israle channel on this stalite,to other was swiched off last year

ps:with out motor, this antenna, you can only fix on one satelite!!

Well, I was just looking at the size of the windows
and they look about a meter wide, so x by 3 plus the bits in between, it looks like a tiddly 5m.

You know what size it is don't you Dish, and I'm going to look silly.

Honestly Robbo, I don't know. You should know me better by now.
I was hoping that someone can give an educated estimate.

Just a comparison:

A mini Mabo 1.85m in front of a 6.30m for Astra 2D in Crete: http://www.saloras.gr/images/gallery/big/16.jpg
And here are some more photos: http://www.saloras.gr/index.php?action=12

I don't dare to think about a 10m or 15m !!
