Welcome to the forum incamedia you will not get a sniff unless you have Jodrell bank, not feasible as the footprints e.g. 2D 2B south 2A south EB are nowhere near, a 5mtr monster may get something on a side lobe .As regards your other question, I am not sure what you mean by services, the satellites are there in the sky above, but in the middle of the Pacific there are not that many beams pointed towards that area they tend to be pointed at heavily populated areas.

Blog Entries: 1 My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S ![]() The last noble sat warrior to fly the olden flag of Analogue | _http://www.flysat.com/hotbird-beam.php That 40dbW line to the north of you suggests a 1.2m dish for the Canaries, so you might have some success in Cape Verde with something over 2m. You need to get some local knowledge - there must be some satellite dish installers you can talk to in the islands.

My System: 30W,7W,13E,16E,19E & 28E Dishes everywhere Darkbox 2008HD Sly+ V3 | What I would suggest is to check around the large hotels and see what sort of TV they are offering to their guests. If anyone has the money to install a large dish it will be one of the big hotels. Failing that then its trial and error I´m afraid. The slingbox idea may be far easier and cheaper.

My System: Octagon 318, 1.1m Triax, dish and Orbital Disecq Motor, plus all other stuff | There is lots of english tv availible on a basic motorised 90cm set up, maybe not as quality viewing as SKY. To that end a bit off subject, can anyone recommend any good villas of self catering apartments for the month of February? Want to come out and survey few areas. Thanks
