My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Worth a try, but virtually all generic Receivers have automatic FEC detection and will accommodate changes without intervention.

My System: Nilesat/arabsat/hotbird/mcsa/Dreambox 500S

Changed FEC to 5/6 & there it is. Freqs & polarisation remain the same. No idea why they changed it without informing anyone.

My System: 1.3M eurostar DISH,MOTOR 42e-18w,65CM FOR SKY, TMS 1500 , ECHOLINK 777, SHARP LNB,TM6800 HD+WF165 CABLE

The change to the FEC has made it much harder to receive fox movies.
It is now Weaker than 11804H.
The picture lock for 17766H is 49% on a TM 6800 but since the change it is now 55% for a lock.
