My System: TM5400ci+super, 1m offset Dish,TM2200 Diseqc motor, Invacom 0.3 universal lnb, Diablo 2.3 Light & Cas 3+
7.0w Nilesat in scotland

7.0w Nilesat is giving me a signal here in scotland tonight..might not last but its here just now,3-00 am in the morning
just the following transponders

12.563 V 27.500 level 90% Quality 64%
12.644 V 27.494 level 91% Quality 66%
11.085 H 2.137 level 89% Quality 58%
11.008 H 27.479 level 90% quality 58%

CNNi news coming in strong
DM TV coming in strong
Atlas / friends coming in strong

everything else seems to be scrambled

My System: 75e-75w C & KU, 36v h-h /36v & diseqc actuators / diseqc -USALS motors / Anlg to HD Channel Masters C120s dishes, stb's inc echo3000, lnbs, meters, custom polar mounts & elevation/incline actuator conversions...

some (or all) of those are on another satellite- cnni is on 8w... to test for 7w up there try 11862v 27500- I think it should be the strongest up there - if you are not locking on that then it's unlikely you are on 7w.

Estimates for 7w reception where you are, are quite large well tuned dishes... very large for any horizontal tps... perhaps 3.6m 4m 5m etc.

google lyngsat 7w ......and check the frequencies on 7w and 8w next door and have a look at the 7w dedicated thread on this forum

Yup looks like you have picked up Atlantic Bird 2 at next door at 8W.

Theres no chance whatsoever of getting the 7W horizontals in Scotland without a very big dish indeed. Keep trying for the 7W verticals - their signals are reported to peak up slightly overnight, and you might get lucky one cold clear night.

woops ...A silly noobie mistake ..never thought to check 8.0w and compare ..Doh !!. Thats what I get for having too many late nights .

No problem.. but just for a split second you will have had some of us hoping someone had nailed a 7w h with a 1m up there.

Never mind gd - we have all done it - I was looking for Arabsat 26E a couple of years ago on a carefully aligned dish - I was most put out when I scanned the transponder and got the UK shopping channels on Eurobird 1
