Can you normally get any of the H's on the 1.3m forks?

11766H in particular?

My System: Gibertini 1M XP Premium - Inverto Black Ultra .2db LNB - Technomate 2200 motor - Vantage 7100 HD. 57E - 22W - 60cm solid oval dish fixed on 28.2 - Humax Freesat HD - Sony Bravia LCD - Sony BluRay and Sony Home Cinema

Hi,

After reading this thread I rescanned 7°W and found the following:

11104H_S/R_2169_T1 Service_63 Strength_81 Quality

11098H_S/R_2169_Waseet_62 Strength_72 Quality

11104 is showing a press conference and 11098 a station logo slide, which confusingly states 'Nilesat 10775H, Arabsat 11823V'.

Can someone can confirm the above are indeed on Nilesat, or am I picking up something spurious?

I waited up tonight specifically for the possible Hs; decent results (in order of strength) from 12226, 12303, 11919, 12149 and 11996.

Can go and sleep in peace now!

My System: 1.2M Channel Master, C120 Invacom 0.3 LNB & Feedhorn, with Humax HDCI2000. 68.5E - 61W

I tried these too last night but no luck getting any H's, but the V's were a bit stronger than usual, even managed to get a watchable picture on the weakest V frequency (12283V) which i can only get every now and then.

You should be able to get the MBC's then, as that transponder (11938V) is about the same strength.

Yes i get the MBC frequency with about 25% on my Humax HDCI2000, a fair bit stronger than the 18-20% i'm getting on 12283V. For me 12283V is the weakest V. Still never managed to get a lock on an H yet, but will keep trying!

Just to add to the info, last night I took the following readings.

11919H_64S43Q
12034H_65S43Q
12149H_65S43Q
12226H_65S45Q
12303H_63S46Q

From 43%Q upwards I get a watchable picture, with about 20% or less frames missing. All this has made me hanker after a TD110 or a Fracarro Penta 85!!

My System: 1.3M eurostar DISH,MOTOR 42e-18w,65CM FOR SKY, TMS 1500 , ECHOLINK 777, SHARP LNB,TM6800 HD+WF165 CABLE

I have some tips for nilesat H transponders.

Try changing the S/R to 27499. I have done a few blind scans and some H transponders show 27499 instead of 27500.
Also i find dropping the frequency by 1 or 2 helps(some some lnbs can have some frequency drift + or - 1 or 2)

or this could be complete nonsense

Set up of the dish is important , just a few mm and the weaker transponders can drift. Even strong wind can make the dish bounce and lose the weak H transponders.

tip 1 - Clean the face of the dish of all dust and clean the lnb cap.
tip 2 - Use the best cable you can afford.
tip 3 - Don’t try and set up the dish in the afternoon as all transponders dive in strength from 3pm-5pm.
tip 3 - Try and align the dish from 9pm(in the UK) as you can make fine mm adjustments that will help you get the weaker H transponders.
tip 4 - Clear sky is the best for H transponders .Even light to medium cloud can drop a few % on the quality.
tip 5 - If the dish is on a motor then set the motor to 0.
Make sure the dish bracket is perfect centre on the motor.
Use a spirt level for all angles of the pole.
Stick a spirt level down the side of the motor bracket and check.
Balance a sprit level on the back side of the dish bracket and check.
Make sure the lnb arm holder is level.
Balance a level on top of the lnb and check.(works with sharp lnb)
Try all adjustments moving the lnb forward and back.

Now drive you motor to 7W
Dont use the loop through on the motor.(this can have a large loss on some frequencys) Cable the lnb direct to the reciver and drive the motor from a second reciever.

I hope this helps get some of those H transponders.

Surely it must be easier getting those channels from 26ºE. From here you can pick it up on a coat hanger.

Yes, some parts of Southern Europe are within the footprint of BADR6, but the UK isn't. Fox movies is not possible on a 1m dish from 26E in the UK.

Also I lost all transponders on AB4A (_http://www.lyngsat.com/ab4a.html) for about 2 weeks after the switch over but now they are all possible on a 1.5m from here.

Latest trend here is an Invacom bullet LNB for 26ºE attached on the side of the spider of a prime focus Famaval dish. Works on dishes from 1.8m upwards.

Just in case anyone is interested I've now found AB4A (A.K.A. Hotbird 10) again. I lost it because it has moved and is not right next to Nilesat 101 anymore but 0.35º to the west and still slowly going west.
