Be nice when it's finished

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

Yes, please send me location.

It will be very useful to know where they are.

For example, if SAT is past 42E to the east and DX bozoth receives it, this means, that I have high chances of also getting it.

He should pay more attention to eastern satellites - information very innacurate about these sats on ALL listings...

My System: dvb-s pci card 85 cm offset dish

Will be interesting to see if he can get Amos Middle East beam, Astra 2D the weaker polarization 24/7, Indian DTH platforms, plus anything exotic in Ku band overspilling from Africa.

He's going to have a lot of joy in C band, for sure.

Thanks again Paolo for keeping us up to date.

As far as I remember, was reading his post on some forum, where he was saying, that for Amos middle east beam he probably need at least 8m dish (I get it on 60 cm )

Paolo, are you sure he gets all 96.5E Ku transponders ? The S1 Beam looks at least in theory further away than the 60E Spot 2 which before he didn't receive at all. Those of S2 Beam look a bit easier.

I expected that he might receive all Amos 2/3 ME Beam frequencies except of 10722V/10758V/10842V which are beeing used as well on the EU Beam of Amos 3. I wonder if there is a trick to separate 2 different streams on the same frequency and polarity but suppose that not. For all that think a huge dish is needed to receive at all one ME Beam frequency, on 1.20m in Romania and Greece (maybe also elsewhere on the Balkans) there was reception of some. Of course not all, but the experience shows that these Beams fall rapidly moving westwards than northwards.

For Astra 2D the Verticals can be gotten on 1.20m-1.80m in the zone around Budapest and east-/southwards. The Horizontals are the really tough ones. But on 5m i had expected that even those would be caught.

Paolo, suppose you mean 11463V (S2 Beam). This one's is from last year. Though impressive that even that reaches Hungary, i am curious if the rest is beeing received as well, especially those of S1 Beam. Will ask skystar as soon as possible.
