My System: Covering 30W-105.5E range, two motors, C and Ku band. Various receivers/cards/cams/etc.
Why some regional tv/radio channels are aired from very far located sats?

The topic name is not so clear, let me expain in details.

For example, we can see a lot of regional nordic europe radios uplinked at Asiasat 100.5E (Radio suomi, radio finland, radio nederland and some others).

Or, some denmark tv and radio channels at 49E ?

There are other examples too...

But I can't get main idea, in case of 100.5E, it targets mostly asia. Are there so many expats from finland or nederland in asia?

What is purpose of such broadcasts?

My System: Sky UK, Canal Digital Finland, TM6900 - 28°E/19°E/13°E/1°W

Dunno, but the Finns seem to love Thailand and I don't think YLE broadcasts on SW any more.
